Welcome to the rants of an evil uber-geek

I am a research programmer at the Lane Center for Computational Biology at the School of Computer Science in Carnegie Mellon University. I have personal and professional interests in genomics, location proteomics, machine learning, pattern recognition, image processing, statistics, web-based applications as well as education in computer science and mathematics.

Prior to joining Carnegie Mellon University, I was a college lecturer, pre-college mentor, tutor and teaching assistant at Universidad Metropolitana. I also found the time to be substitute teacher in mathematics at Academia Maria Reina. I certainly enjoy the art of teaching with passion and I can only hope to regain the honor of teaching again in the near future.
